Our Story

With strong electrical engineering and lighting design backgrounds,
our founders began building their lighting portfolio by working on urban-scale
historical monuments and landmark projects.

our story
From the early stages, they integrated a multidisciplinary collaboration approach, including working with architects, engineers, as well as interior, urban, landscape, and industrial designers. As a result, our services have expanded beyond lighting design to include manufacturing, supply, control offerings, and commissioning.

Today, our lighting footprint extends across almost all five continents, with
multiple awarded projects globally and locally.

Developing services in NA

Our journey in North America began in May 2008 and consequently in September 2012, our founders established Proxima Lighting in British Columbia, Canada. Soon after, we were retained to design mixed-use towers, complexes, and tenant improvement (T.I.) projects across Alberta and BC. Since then, Proxima has benefited from strong partnerships with manufacturers, agents, wholesalers, and designers across Canada, the USA, Europe, China, South America and the Middle East.

OurPhilosophy:

At Proxima, we believe light should enhance life. Our goal is to strengthen
our global reputation as a trusted lighting partner, transforming sophisticated
visions into brilliant realities. To achieve this, our team stays current with the
latest knowledge, trends, technologies, and products. We remain committed
to our core values while leading as a solutions-driven lighting provider
across Canada and contributing to select high-profile projects in the U.S.
and worldwide.

Our Values:

Social & Ethical Responsibility

We are committed to continuously improving lighting systems by sharing our knowledge with design academies, providing designers and partners with the latest lighting concepts and technologies, sponsoring relevant professional associations, and engaging with decision-makers across cities and communities throughout our network to elevate awareness of the importance of quality lighting. We are also dedicated to serving our customers by delivering high-quality, sustainable, well-being-focused, and cost-effective lighting solutions from the design phase through to commissioning.

We are committed to operating with honesty, integrity, and fairness at the core of everything we do, building trust through transparent practices and responsible actions. We treat people and relationships with equal respect within our diverse cultural workplace and throughout our external network.

OurQuality Pillars

1- Well-Being-Oriented

At Proxima, we believe lighting should enhance environments while

maintaining balance and comfort for the people within them. Guided by
the WELL Light concept, we approach lighting design with
the understanding that it should support visual, mental, and biological health by reinforcing natural circadian rhythms and minimizing disruptions that can negatively impact sleep, mood, and overall wellness.

We apply these principles through carefully tailored daylight and electric
lighting strategies, designed to improve occupant experience while
supporting health, well-being, and performance across every project
we deliver.

2-Harmonized and envolved

We create lighting that not only complements and harmonized with the form, style, and other design elements of a space, but also evolves with the latest technologies, and design trends, ensuring our offerings remain up-to-date and reflect the most recent innovations.

3- Commitments to the Environments and Economics

We design lighting systems with longevity, precision, and control in mind
through the whole lighting life cycle. Our designs carefully manage light
distribution to minimize light pollution and light trespass, respecting both the environment and surrounding spaces.
